I think I might go trim color. I think with your house being painted two colors and then the black shutters, adding another color with stain might be too much. And if you went with black, it seems like that is too much black in the center of your house. But go with what YOU want. You guys are the ones looking at it every day. You could always stain and paint over it if you didn't like it :)

I am giving my opinion!! Although not asked for. "I think black". Forget the staining and then the painting that is totally to much work!! But I say do what makes you happy, that is all that matters.
Changed my mind after looking at the picture again. Now I am saying trim color.
